Andrew went 3 for 3 today to finish out machine-pitch season. He got a triple hit in the air to the outfield, a 2-rbi double and a single. They gave him the game ball.

Morris Pond is a reservoir in Sanford, Lee County, North Carolina.

"Morris Pond" was a lively spot in the area and the place to be seen. "Uncle Danny" Morris operated a small store where he sold bait and offered boat rentals. The structure pictured above was the many-sided dance hall. At one time there was a juke box and a place for live bands. There were benches for wall flowers and observers. When weather was bad, the Morris Reunion gathering was held inside the dance hall. In good weather there were long picnic-like tables placed end-to-end just outside the dance hall.
